Warning: Communication must be made in good faith. Deliberately providing false information, in addition to subjecting the responsible party to civil liability, may constitute the crimes of slander (*calúnia* – Art. 138), defamation (*difamação* – Art. 139), insult (*injúria* – Art. 140), and malicious accusation (*denunciação caluniosa* – Art. 339), all under the Penal Code.
